Visit of the Minister of Environment, Mircea Fechet, at our biogas plant
WE TRANSFORM WASTE INTO SUSTAINABILITY
We recently had the honor to receive the visit of the Minister of Environment, Mircea Fechet, at our biogas plant in Filipeștii de Pădure, Prahova county.
At a time when the environment is becoming increasingly important and our responsibility towards it is growing, Genesis Biopartner stands out as a source of inspiration for Romania and the whole world.
As Minister Mircea Fechet pointed out, "In order to meet the landfill diversion targets set at EU level, it is clear that the main solution lies in the proper collection of the biodegradable fraction, representing about 50% of the more than 6 million tonnes of waste generated annually." This statement highlights the crucial importance of responsible collection and management of biodegradable waste in order to align with our environmental commitments.
Through the biogas plant located in Filipeștii de Pădure, we are dedicated to this mission and manage to process each year about 60,000 tons of biodegradable organic food waste from production, distribution and trade. Instead of being sent to landfill, this waste is turned into electricity, powering almost 6,000 households. This is a significant step towards a cleaner and more sustainable future.
Minister Mircea Fechet was impressed by our efforts and pointed out: "I was pleased to find such efficient solutions for bio-waste recycling in Romania, which are ready to take these quantities, process them and introduce them into the circular economy." This recognition of our positive impact and development potential means a lot to us.
At Genesis Biopartner, we strongly believe that sustainability and renewable energy are the key to a better future for all of us. We are committed to continuous development and promotion of sustainability, with the support of the Ministry of the Environment and all those involved.
We are committed to continuing on this path and contributing to a cleaner and more sustainable environment for future generations. With every tonne of waste recycled, we take a step towards a greener future.
We are proud to contribute to the circular economy and are committed to continued development. Sustainability is our way to a healthier environment and a better future for all.
