Genesis Biopartner, the Romanian market leader in green energy production from biogas
The REPowerEU plan presented by the European Commission gives particular importance to biomethane production from renewable sources and foresees a production of 35 billion cubic meters of biomethane by 2030. There are few biogas plants in Romania so far, and the most important one is owned by Genesis Biopartner and operates in Prahova county, in Filipeștii de Pădure.• ecologic
Genesis Biopartner is a success story that recently celebrated 10 years of active presence in the market of electricity and heat production from biogas.
The biogas plant built in Filipeștii de Pădure, Prahova county, is a project initiated, developed and fully financed by Genesis Biopartner, member of Baupartner Group, with a cogeneration capacity of 2.13 MW electric energy and 2.1 MW thermal energy.
In its 10 years of existence, the company has continuously developed its production capacity, making the transition from agricultural biomass to biodegradable organic waste. It was not easy: from the cautious start of converting corn silage into biogas to the careful monitoring of the fermentation process and the substitution of agricultural biomass feedstock with biodegradable organic waste, it took a lot of work, hard study and countless hours spent in the field.
