Biogas Plant Mechanic

Responsibilities:

• Performs maintenance and repair work on mechanical equipment at the biogas plant (substrate, digestate, and recirculation transfer pumps; agitators in digesters and post-digesters; shredders, mixers, and biomass pretreatment equipment; blowers and fans for gas systems)
• Identifies and repairs malfunctions in pumps, motors, machinery, and mechanical systems
• Performs periodic technical inspections and corrective maintenance
• Ensures the installation, disassembly, and adjustment of mechanical equipment 
• Checks the operation of machinery and monitors its technical condition
• Lubricates, cleans, and maintains equipment according to the maintenance plan
• Collaborates with the electrical and automation team for integrated interventions
• Prepares intervention reports and reports malfunctions
• Participates in planned shutdowns for general maintenance
• Ensures the recommissioning of equipment after interventions
• Complies with occupational health and safety (OHS) and fire safety regulations.

Requirements:

• High school diploma in mechanical engineering / equipment maintenance / electromechanics
• Experience in industrial maintenance (preferred)
• Basic knowledge of pumps, motors, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems
• Ability to work in a team and attention to detail
• Reliability and adherence to safety regulations

Constitutes an advantage:

• Experience in industrial facilities / energy / production plants
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems or automation
• Relevant certifications or technical training
